About The Wise Call
The gap we exist to close
Australian organisations have a duty to manage psychosocial risk, and since 1 July 2026, the codes of practice that define it are enforceable.
Surveys identify hazards. Courses inform people. Both matter. Neither demonstrates that anything was done.
That is the gap: between what a manager learned in training and what they actually do in the room, on a Thursday, with someone who is struggling. The Wise Call exists to close it, helping managers prepare for hard conversations, practise them before they happen, and keep a proper record of the steps they took.
What we believe
The conversation is the control. Psychosocial risk is not managed in a policy document. It is managed by a line manager who knows what to say and has the confidence to say it.
Managers are people too. Our tools are built for the person having the hard conversation, not to monitor them. What a manager practises, prepares and reflects on stays private to them. Always.
We equip, we do not guarantee. We give managers the knowledge, the support and an easy path to do the right thing. Organisations own their own accountability.
We are not a vault. Records our users create belong to them and go into their own systems. We are built to hand things over, not to hold onto them.
Where we come from
The Wise Call is built in Sydney by a small team, grounded in the Safe Work Australia Model Code of Practice: Managing Psychosocial Hazards at Work, and shaped in conversation with WHS managers, HR leaders and frontline supervisors across Australian industry.
We are early, and we would rather say so. We are building this with practitioners rather than projecting our own assumptions onto them. If you carry psychosocial accountability in your organisation and want to shape what gets built, we would genuinely like to hear from you. Reach us on hello@thewisecall.com.au
Giving back
For every nine commercial licences we sell, we commit one free licence to a small registered charity. The organisations with the least capacity to pay often carry the highest psychosocial load.
